Death by Chocolate Sundae: A Cozy Mystery...is another story about Tara and her friends, that help her run her ice cream shop, the Frozen Scoop. In this story, Tara and her friends hear about a law suit involving a couple who run another store in town. They are being sued by the town Scrooge, who doesn't care who he hurts along the way to getting what he wants. As the locals come in and get their ice cream and smoothie treats, there's always some gossip that filters into the ice cream shop. As things start to slow down for the afternoon, Mr. Jenkins, who no one likes, comes in for an ice cream sundae. As Tara and the others are cleaning tables and talking, Mr. Jenkins asks for water to take his pills, and complains they didn't give him enough water. He no sooner than takes his pills and he ends up face down in his sundae. Will Tara and her friends figure out what happened to Mr. Jenkins, and who killed him, before the killer comes back for them? The author is consistent in her writings, which make the reader want to read more and more of her stories.Product details

really great
The story was to short to be a novel. It was more like a novella. It was somewhat a little too cozy for me. It dragged in some places. The idea was a nice one but it needed a little work.
Small town sleuths tackle a murder mystery on their own in order to absolve one of the town's good citizens who had been falsely accused
This was an awesome story. The storyline flowed and was fast paced. It kept me guessing until the end. The characters were so well developed. Enjoy.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Tara and the other ladies adventures in the ice cream shop. Another great whodunit with a surprise ending.
I have read the first book in this series too! This one continues the story that gets even more exciting. The adventures had by each character are interwoven exquisitely. I love Miss Barker' s writing.
The Frozen Scoop Ice Cream Shoppe in a small town in Georgia is the setting for most of the story. Although it's a short story, there's a host of characters (I finished while waiting for the bus...one could probably squeeze it in if the doc is running late for appts or something. That quick). I found the whodunit to be less mysterious than I like but Barker didn't drag out the story to make it longer, even though she probably could have fluffed it out a bit and made it longer. Evidently this is part of a series of short stories...guess this is one fatal ice cream shoppe.
